Indicators are an important part of our chapter on acids and bases.  In addition to doing labs, hearing a lecture, and seeing examples of indicators, students will be required to research different types of indicators.  Your worksheet has the instructions for your excel indicator project.  In addition, this web-site has links to different sites that will help guide you through the process.

INDICATORS

Chemists use a variety of indicators to do their job.  Indicators are divided into two categories:  synthetic and natural.  There is some overlap between the two, and both are used at various times.  Part of your assignment is to locate information about each, and determine the difference.
